My Success Story

I am working on oDesk since 2011. I have completed over 4,600 calculated hours  and 210 oDesk Projects with 100% feedback score 5 out of 5.

I helped many people opening an account on oDesk and getting their first job but I have seen most of them leave oDesk soon because of some mistakes they made and believe that they can't get more jobs on oDesk.

In this post, I will share some secrets behind my success on oDesk.

Patient Attitude:

I have seen most people leave oDesk because their first few job applications got rejected. When I started oDesk, I got my first job after almost 8 months but I never lose hope and kept trying daily. We must remember that getting the first job is very tough but once you get the first job, it should be easy from there. So, be patient and keep applying daily with a strong believe to get the job.

Unique Cover Letter:

I used few formats for my cover letter but my current Cover Letter has brought me more success than the previous ones. I have seen most people who just copy-paste their one cover letter to every job without thoroughly reading the job's requirement. I never do this and found success. Interview Behavior:

If you work daily on oDesk, it will be easy for you to check new invitations and interviews messages and email. If you don't work daily, it's very hard to get any job on oDesk. Now, whenever you receive any message or email from any client for interview, make sure to read the respective job's requirement again before replying to the client. If you believe that you can complete the job, reply to the client otherwise, leave the job. Don't try to be over smart and frank with the client in interview process.

Honesty with Job:

Never take any job lightly. Remember, someone is paying you to help him out, so you have to be honest with job you have to complete and pay attention to the quality of your services. I also follow this simple rule and got very success. I never care what amount of job I have to complete, I just focus on the quality of the work.

Be in Touch with Clients:

As I write in the start of this post, I have completed over 200 Projects. Would you believe me that I completed all these tasks with 40-50 people only? Yes, it's true!

The main reason behind my success is that I always touch my clients very frequently and just ask for their health and progress as a friend. Most of the time, I got responses from the clients for the new jobs on the spot and try to complete the job quickly and accurately. It's my simple formula for success and progress.

There are few tips that always help me to find new jobs most of the time. Remember, you have to work daily to get success and it will surely take some time to get familiar with oDesk and it's working. So, keep trying and believe for the success. May ALLAH bless you all !!!!
